The General's Retreat Course at the Hermitage has received the coveted Golf Digest Four Star rating.

This highest rated course in Tennessee has been the home of the LPGA Sara Lee Classic since 1988. Designed by Gary Rogers Baird, the General's Reteat offers 6,800 yards of challenging golf and scenic beauty with eight lakes and many well-placed bunkers along the banks of the Cumberland River. The General's Retreat is a beautiful and lush green year round with bent grass greens and special over-seeded bermuda fairways.

The President's Reserve, our new Denis Griffiths designed golf course opened in the spring of 2000. The President's Reserve is like a stroll through nature as you wander through 300 acres of natural wetlands and along two miles of the Cumberland River. The President's Reserve, with beautiful zoysia grass fairways and bent grass greens, creates a perfect addendum to the General's Retreat course.
